Brandon Rush Wants to be a Starter

A day after re-signing with the Warriors, Brandon Rush made it clear that he wanted to be starting small forward for the team.

He told Rusty Simmons:
"I’m coming in and trying to get the starting job. I’ve been working hard this entire summer to build on that. Being a starter in the NBA puts a lot of pressure on you. You’re expected to come out and perform every game at a high level. If you’re coming off the bench, there’s a little pressure off you and you can come in and play your type of game."
Rush will face steep competition at the SF position. Harrison Barnes, Richard Jefferson, and even rookie Draymond Green are expected to see minutes and battle with Rush for playing time.
