Sharks Are One of Favorites to Land Doan, According to Source

A source has told CSN that the San Jose Sharks are among the favorites to sign prized free agent forward Shane Doan.

There are six teams interested in his services, which include the Sharks, Canucks, Rangers, Flyers, Penguins, and Sabres. His preference is to remain in Phoenix, where he has spent his entire career, but they have not offered him a deal that he likes. CSN reports that Doan is looking for a four year deal worth $30 million.

Doan scored 22 goals along with 28 assists for the Coyotes last season, and helped lead them to the Western Conference Finals where they lost to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.
