Are the Giants Going to Make a Run at Hunter Pence?

Per Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Giants are in the market for a right-handed hitting outfielder. The original thought was more of a pinch-hitter type addition, but Hunter Pence is quite the opposite. He would be a big splash.

However, he will be hard to obtain. Pence, who the Phillies acquired last year around this time, is not eligible to be a free agent until the winter of 2013-2014, making Philadelphia's asking price even higher.  Outside of Gary Brown, the Giants have some decent prospects, but nothing too intriguing.  It will likely take a good package of the Giants' best prospects to pry Pence away from the Phils.
