What To Expect For Beginning of NBA Season

Teams with the hottest starts, worst starts, and players that will pick up the pace, start out slow, or go hard in the paint.

Hottest Starts for Teams:

1. Miami Heat: LeBron James just won his first championship. He's not going to want to stop. His first taste was good that he's not going to stop. With Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis now on the team, defenders are going to have a hard time.

2. Boston Celtics: Everyone thinks that the Celtics are likely going to slow down. They've only lost Ray Allen, and to replace him, they've picked up Avery Bradley, and Jason Terry, with the addition of Fab Melo too. No, this team isn't going to slow down at all.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves: Kevin Love is tired of not being in the postseason. He's going to hit hard and fast. Ricky Rubio is also going hard too. Now in the backcourt with Roy, along with Kirilenko, the Wolves are going to hit each team hard and fast.

Players off to a Fast Start:

1. LeBron James: Once again, he wants the sweet taste of another championship.

2. Klay Thompson: Surprisingly, yes, Klay makes the list. He's a rising rookie, and although defenders close out on him hard, he will still find ways to score. He's going to light it up earl and fast.

3. Kobe Bryant: Now with new hope in LA, with Nash, Kobe actually has something to believe in again. He will desperately try to carry his team to the Finals. For Kobe, Gasol, and Nash, it's now or never. Literally.

Teams that will start Slow:

1. Atlanta Hawks: Everyone gives the Hawks an A+ this offseason. While I agree with their decision to bring in a natural scorer like Lou Williams, I don't think he can carry a team to the playoffs right now. Things will change as the season progresses.

2. New York Knicks: The Knicks have talent and potential. They do, however lack chemistry and unselfishness. Plus a good PG. without any of those, it's hard to imagine a team functioning properly.

3. Chicago Bulls: Derrick Rose is out for the whole season. Nate Robinson can replace him? No. The Bulls are in some serious trouble. They may not even make the playoffs this year. Then again, they played well as a unit without Rose.
