Pence Batting Fifth, Pill Gets a Start in Game 3 of the Series

The move was officially announced today, that Aubrey Huff is headed to the DL to make room for the newest Giant, Hunter Pence.

Pence will bat fifth in the lineup behind Melky Cabrera and Buster Posey. He has faced the Mets several time in his career, and against tonight's starting pitcher for New York Jonathon Niese, he's collected just three hits in 21 at-bats in his career.

Brett Pill will make his first start since being recalled to take Nate Schierholtz roster spot yesterday. Pill, who was with the Giants earlier in the season, is making his first start since June 8th tonight. He will hit seventh.
