Warriors, Heat Early Comparison

If you asked NBA fans in the country: what would the score of a Warriors vs Heat game be, most of them would say something like, "180-20, Heat". The Warriors are very underrated. While they may not be able to beat the Heat just yet, they still have players that can matchup well with some of the Heat's big named guys.

1. PG: Mario Chalmers, Stephen Curry: Curry is younger than Chalmers, shoots better, and is smarter. He isn't one of those selfish players who wants all the credit, and does barely anything to help the team. This is why, out of sheer talent, Curry wins the matchup. Winner: Warriors

2. SG: Dwyane Wade, Klay Thompson: Ok, most elite teams have incredible SG's. I do think that Klay has the potential to match their stardom, however. Thompson will always have a big height advantage on other SG. He stands at 6'7, which is harder than ever to guard, especially if you're 6'3. The All- Star Champion, however, always comes out the winner. Winner: Heat

3. SF: Shane Battier, Harrison Barnes: In the case of the Heat, LeBron James is the starting PF, so he's not going to be matched up with Harrison Barnes. This is a classic case of versatility vs veteranship. Battier knows the game, and can shoot lights out. Barnes can also shoot lights out, but is younger: therefore more athletic, and more versatile. I think in all cases, Barnes comes out victorious for the Warriors. Winner: Warriors

4. PF: LeBron James, David Lee: Obviously, Lee won't be guarding Lebron James, nor will James guard Lee. This matchup is purely about skill. I've always said that Lee is an underrated superstar, which is true. But, It's LEBRON JAMES. How can you compare to the best player in the world at this time? I'm going to say that the Heat are going to own this matchup. Winner: Heat

5. C: Chris Bosh, Andrew Bogut: Oh, a tough one. This will be a matchup to watch. Although Bogut is an underrated star as well, Bosh is the most important piece of the big 3 of the Heat. Winner: Heat

Bench Productivity: The Heat the Warriors both have deadly benches, but because of age, I'm going to have to rule with the Warriors on this one.

Based on reading this article, these two teams would seem to be matched up equally. The thing is, the areas where the Heat excel, are the areas that they're deadly in. The Warriors have just assembled this team, and who knows how they're going to play?
