Stats Analysis: Andrew Bogut

Andrew Bogut is that kind of likeable guy. He is likely to become the fan favorite. The big thing that all Warrior fans are concerned with is Bogut's health. And if he will fill the shoes of the team leader along with Curry. If Bogut doesn't produce the numbers that the Warriors expected from him, then the Monta Ellis trade would have gone to waste. With Bogut nearing full rehabilitation, he knows that he has to step up and fill up the stat sheet. For these reasons, he should definitely be one of the premier scorers.

Points: Bogut is a strong offensive weapon that needs to be used. He's a big strong guy at 260 lbs, and has the ability to post up and destroy defenders on the block. He can also matchup against the NBA's best centers. Bogut should and will average around 16.3 PPG. That's not too much to expect out of him, considering all the hype that surrounds him.

Assists: Again, big men don't need to do that kind of job. He does, however have a high enough basketball IQ to see a situation in which his teammates are in a better position to score. Just like David Lee. With the shooting talent on the floor, Bogut's kickouts are bound to get him some assists. Bogut will average around 3.4 Assists per game.

Rebounds: Bogut goes hard in the paint. This is why he's an excellent rebounder. Many don't agree that Bogut will be much use on the glass, but he does rebound the ball. His defensive skill and intensity is underrated for his size. Bogut must average around 10.2 Rebounds per game.

Turnovers: Bogut won't be the cause of many turnovers, unless he commits an offensive foul, which is likely. Otherwise, I don't see him turning the ball over much. Bogut will average 1 turnover at most.

Blocks: For every center, a new stat must be put it. Blocks of course. The center's primary job is to defend the rim and rebound the ball. Bogut can do both of these: just with the size that he has, offensive players on the drive will be intimidated and perhaps be forced into a turnover or an ugly shot. Bogut will average 0.9-1.1 Blocks per game. This one is hard to predict.
