Stats Analysis: Richard Jefferson

"Jefferson puts it up for the win!" 5 years ago, it wasn't uncommon for Nets fans to be at the edge of their seats because Richard Jefferson had led their team to an incredible victory. Now he's just a washed up all-star who's still looking for his first ring. Can he get it with the Warriors? Or will he just retire without one like many other great players who couldn't catch a break? Predicting RJ's stats as probably backup PF.

Points: RJ is a prolific scorer who can really get it going from the three point range. He can do it easily, and is still very capable of putting up big numbers. On some nights, he may actually be the leading scorer for the Warriors. RJ has what it takes and knows that for him, the time is now: it's do or die. Jefferson will average around 9.1 PPG, while breaking out often.

Assists: Jefferson isn't the type of guy who has court vision. He won't be the passer. His game is only 2-D: either he will spot up for the three point shot, or take it straight to the basket. Driving may open up some opportunities for him. He will average around 2.3 Assists per game.

Rebounds: Since Jefferson will likely be guarding some of the bigger players, he is likely to do his role and box out. This means that he will get plenty of rebounds: he should be able to start the break and get some extra points for the Warriors out of hard work. Jefferson will average around 4.5 Rebounds per game, which is excellent considering his age.

Turnovers: Jefferson is a good, solid veteran who knows what he's doing. He shouldn't and won't be the cause of too many turnovers. He will average less than 1.
