Stats Analysis: Draymond Green

After the NBA draft, analyzers concluded that Draymond Green has the potential to take the NBA by storm and end up being the rookie of the year. He may just be the steal of the draft, they said. While that's most likely not going to be true, Green will still be a contributor on each aspect of the floor for the Warriors: Defensively, Offensively, and other positions that the Warriors are weak in.

Points: Green isn't the best offensive player, but hopefully he's adjusted to the NBA three point line, as he missed a lot during the summer league. What the Warriors need is a solid guy, who is consistent and gives you tough play every night. Green will be that guy, averaging about 8.3 PPG, while occasionally breaking out.

Assists: Although Green is listed as a SF, he will likely be playing PF. Then again, he is flexible to even play SG, because of his passing ability. This was an advantage of drafting Draymond Green. He's an all-around player. Green should average around 3.9 Assists per game.

Rebounds: Green was the all-time leading rebounder for Michigan. If he can bring that aspect of the game to the Warriors, they'll be golden. As long as he provides his defensive intensity, then he will be as useful as any other reserve. It's tough to go up against a bulky 6'7 player for the rebound. Green should average 7.2 Rebounds steadily.

Those are the three main parts of the game that Green should be able to help with. He should be able to collect some steals (1.0) and force some really bad shots, but there's no stat to keep track of that. The Warriors have a solid and deep roster this year. Get ready, they're coming.
