Stats Analysis: Carl Landry

Carl Landry is that lovable guy we picked up. He's the one that we were after this offseason, the one who asked for a longer contract. That's great and all, but there are many parts of his game where he is lacking. For all that the Warriors need in him, there's a lot that he lacks to have a complete game.

Points: Landry is a decently efficient scorer. He may be arrogant, but he sure knows how to back it up when he's trash talking. He's that type of tough player the Warriors need in their lineup. He won't be able to produce his numbers of 12.9 PPG last year, but he will be an efficient player that the Warriors aren't looking for much out of. He will average around 8.9 PPG, while occasionally breaking 10 points.

Blocks: Instead of assists, Landry does the dirty, tough, and hard work in the paint. He blocks the ball, and send his guards on their way to easy fast breaks. This shows that he has high basketball IQ. That, combined with ability to predict how a defender will shoot, is the ultimate combination. Landry will average around 0.7 Blocks per game.

Rebounds: Size, size, size. As long as you are of adequate size, there's no excuse for a 6'3 guard sneaking up on you and grabbing the ball right from your hands for the rebound. Landry won't be a huge rebounder, but he will be on the floor a lot. He will contribute in as many ways as possible. Landry will average around 5.7 Rebounds per game.

Turnovers: Uh oh! Landry knows what he's doing most times, but occasionally, he'll make a stupid pass, stay in the key longer than three seconds, or just pummel into a defender looking to take the charge. These are the kind of turnovers that the Warriors can't afford to make. Since he will be playing on the floor with Lee, there's more room to do such things. Landry will unfortunately average around 2 turnovers, hopefully less.
