Countdown Till the NBA Season: 8/17

One more day closer to tipoff between the Celtics and the Heat. What can us NBA fans do to kill time? Most of us feel a big whole that NBA basketball has left. It's tough to fill that whole with other sports such as baseball or tennis.. As teams continue to develop at each aspect, the Warriors also continue to improve. Their roster is finally complete, and the strengthening of Curry and Bogut's injured spots is going pretty well. The Warriors should be fully healthy and ready to go by the time the season starts.

The only problem: The Warriors shouldn't get too cocky. Yes, it seems as if they're a lock for the playoffs this year, but other teams such as the Timberwolves, Lakers, Nuggets, and Blazers are also rebuilding and reloading. The Warriors have the potential and talent, but their mental focus, as a young team, may not be as collectively strong as the Lakers' or Blazers'.

Headlines that Mean Something:

- Fellow Teammate Dwyane Wade says LeBron is at Jordan Level  (and I agree with him, it's true: now LeBron just needs to win many more titles)

- Charles Barkley, ESPN Analyzer, Thinks the Lakers will Win the West  (Barkley is a former NBA player, but I don't agree with him, the battle for west dominance will be a close on this year)

- Golden State's David Lee Looking to Breakout (Lee has all-star potential, but he needs to play as he has in the past)

- Warriors' Bench will Play a  Huge Role in Quest to Playoffs  (With some big time scorers on the bench, the Warriors have infinite lineups to go to)

- Curry's Ankle Near Full Strength  (Curry may finally have another year like his rookie year, he will be the elite athlete Joe Lacob hopes he would: Get ready, Warrior fans)
