A's Look to Avoid Sweep in Kansas City: Preview, Lineups

The A's will try to salvage a game in their three game set against the Kansas City Royals tonight, as we get you set for all the action. First pitch is at 5:10 PT.

Oakland is currently 61-55, and has lost four of their last five games. They are 1.5 games back of the second wild card spot in the AL. 

Dan Straily (0-0, 5.06 ERA) will make his third career start for the Athletics. He will be working on a full week's rest after allowing five runs in 4 2/3 innings to the Angels in his last start.

Luke Hochevar (7-10, 5.32 ERA) will pitch for the Royals. Despite his sky-high earned run average, Hochevar is 4-2 with a 3.68 ERA in his previous ten starts.
