Panda Watch: Sandoval Could Return for Tomorrow's Series Opener Against the Nationals

As I write this, Sandoval is probably getting ready to take his first at-bat with the San Jose Giants, who he has been rehabbing with for the past two games.

The Giants, who open up a huge three-game series against the Washington Nationals Monday night at AT&T Park, have scored 18 runs over their past two games at home, but any surplus offense won't do any harm.

Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reported before today's Giants's game that Giants' brass would meet and make a decision about what they should do with their third baseman.

The question the Giants are facing: Activate in time for Monday's series opener, or not push him, and give a few more days to rehab.

Don't be shocked to see him back for Monday's contest. The Giants need him, and this is a crucial three-game set against Washington who swept them back in July.
